Senic has launched Covi on Kickstarter, a lamp that doubles up as a smart voice hub.

The hub comes Amazon Alexa enabled however they aim to add more options post funding in 218.

One of the most exciting and indeed unique features is the fact it’s powered by Open Source – Home Assist. This means it will work with potentially any echo system, rather than locking into only one. However its worth noting they are not associated with Home Assist.

Covi allows you to use your voice to control your smart home, without the need for an ugly controller. This is the first time we have seen a controller disguised as an everyday object and we like the idea!
Covi is available to pre-order now and starts from an impressive £87 – they aim to raise £66k.
