IKEA recently entered the smart home market with their impressive Trådfri range. Currently the range extends to smart lighting including bulbs strips and accessories. The lights run on ZigBee so are fully compatible with a lot of other smart home tech, including market leader Philips Hue.

They also integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, allowing whole home automation for a much more cost effective price.
Today a Swedish blogger has discovered a listing for a Trådfri Smart Plug for a very low price of $10!
In true IKEA style a remote can be purchased separately for an additional cost.
According to the blog this will also work with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit. Quite an impressive integration list for such a low price. Watch out WeMo – the current leader in smart plugs.
The plug will officially go on sale in October – we will update as we find out more.
