Sure Petcare release their exciting new innovation a smart microchip pet feeder!

The smart pet feeder connects to their existing Smart petcare app via the already released hub. As part of their expansion into the smart space and joining the Smart Cat flap. (Read our review of their Smart Cat flap here)

The pet feeder goes further than any pet feeder before, allowing total control over which animal can eat what food – automatically.  All done via the microchip inside your pet or RFID collar tag. The feeder closes over the feed only opening for the chosen pet, this also keeps the food fresher for longer.

It weighs the food, making it easier to not over feed your pet and monitors if your pet is not eating and when they are how much. Very smart!

Earlier this year we told you that pet product specialist Sure Petcare were releasing a new smart cat flap. Today the day has come, SureFlap have released ‘SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap Connect’ – the ultimate cat flap!

The cat flap reads with the animal’s microchip or RFID tag. This allow owners to remotely monitor their cat’s activities as well as controlling access. All from the comfort of their smart phone.

The cat flap is the same size as standard cat flaps allowing owners to easily upgrade their ‘dumb’ cat flaps without additional works. The technology has been cleverly designed to support multiple cat households with custom rights. For example; if an indoor cat manages to escape via an open window it can be allowed back in but not out.
