IFTTT is a brilliant service that connects tech together, everything from websites to hardware.

The name might seem strange but it means:

IF THIS THEN THAT

As the name explains the service connects integrated tech and allows conditions to trigger something else.

Here is a simple IFTTT tutorial using their website:

After registering you are presented with the rule:

You then can select the + to add the trigger – for example select ‘Date and time’

Select ‘Every day at‘ and choose a time!

The trigger is now set, all you need to do is set the action:

Again select the + and choose, for example you can select Twitter to tweet:

That is it! You have created your first IFTTT Applet.
