Another Smart doorbell has entered the arena, say hello to Ding!

Ding first came to market in October 2016 via a Kickstarter campaign where it raised over double its goal of $50,000. It is now on Seeder and again has beaten its target – currently at 101%

The idea behind ding is simple – a modern doorbell that’s not too smart or unnecessarily high-tech. It just works.

They have also paid great attention to the design, using industrial design agency Map, making a device that should blend into your house and not stand out.

“Doorbell chimes have become anonymous plastic boxes hiding in the hallway. The Ding chime has more prominence in the home to ensure that it can be heard anywhere and so works better.”

At present its on pre-order with approximate dispatch of August 2017.
