If you are looking for a simple cost effective sensor solution to your smart home tech Trajectio might be exactly what you are after.

Trajectio is a small smart box that connects to standard sensors

It enables your motion to turn lights (LIFX, Hue or Trådfri) on and off as well as your music as you enter and leave rooms, via Sonos.

Light Sensors are not new, last year Hue released sensors for its lights. However Sonos is the integration we are very interested in as there is nothing in the marketing that currently does this.

This is probably because only last year Sonos announce an official API and integrations at CEDIA Expo 2016.
We can only assume Trajectio’s connectivity is not an official API integration because when Sonos announced integrations they only listed Control4, Creston, iPort, Lutron and Savant.

Our concern would be if Sonos update their software it could break Trajectio’s functionality. This is exactly what has happens previously with reverse engineered Sonos integrations.

We have asked Trajectio for a comment on this and will update the article if we get one.

Trajectio is brought to you by a UK tech consultant, via Kickstarter.

He created the solution for his personal home and then discovered it has wider use so took a sabbatical from his job to focus on Trajectio.

Kits start from £99 with the project requiring a total of £20,000.
We hope it makes it as this could fill a gap in the Smart Home market, especially with IKEAS’s Trådfri hopefully coming to the UK later this year.
